Slab Prep

Today the site was prepared for the slab. Crusher dust was put down where the foundation is going to be poured. The level at which the slab sits has been raised. Foam pods and reo mesh has been delivered. Builder says the pour will happen on Tuesday. That gives them Monday to box in the foundation, as for some reason they like concreting first thing in the morning. Whoops, we see a few pipes that have been knocked and damaged. I hope this is fixed before they pour.

Dude... where’s my house

So for the last two weeks, my demolition guy has been promising me that they will get around to demolishing the house. After repeated emails the last one said they will be onsite this Wednesday. So for the last week I’ve been driving around to the house before work and after work just for that slim chance they have come. So today I drove there after work. I couldn’t get there this morning because I had a course to go to. So not expecting much, I usually grab a glimpse of the roof of the house as I drive around the corner of the street. But today was a bit different, I took a peek upon approach, but I couldn’t see it, I wasn’t sure if I missed it, but as I drove up to the street, to my surprise there was an excavator on the property and no sign of the house at all. All I could see was the remnants the concrete foundation and the drive way.

More plants/trees and pavers

Over the weekend we saw humid weather on Friday afternoon and Saturday. The rain was holding off, even though it was forecast for both Friday and Saturday, it would have been good because the plants were becoming droopy. I had to duck off to Bunnings to buy a hose to water the plants. Then the much needed heavy rain on came on Sunday. Which affected the landscaping work on Monday. The landscaper installed pavers, finished the gravel path, planted a few trees, and prepared the ground for turf that is due to arrive tomorrow. 4 Days Paint to front of wall Stair/handrail polish final coats??
