So after a few false starts, we potentially find the spot where our dream house could be built. The first few opportunities were small vacant blocks. We looked at the neighbourhood, house values, street features and the opportunity to bargain. The first was a vacant block of tiny dimensions we are talking 420sqm, the only option here was to build a two storey home. At this stage, even though I was anti-multi-level homes, I was starting to become comfortable in our little townhouse that we had rented. I had a dislike for stairs, and I was starting to get used to it, as one of our daughters would repeatedly complain about noise after dark. now that the floors were separated in the living arrangement the complaints reduced and we had a feeling we could work with a two storey home. Two years ago we had our house appraised for a valuation. We were just curious as to how much we could possibly get for our house that has been 6 years old. We were somewhat disappointed about the value we could get and left it at that. Fast forward two years forward, this agent approaches us again, with the market still increasing from the initial appraisal, we decided to try again. This time he says he can get us what we were after and more. He convinces us to try and bring people through and see if there is any interest.
